If you play through and see all four endings, you're truly a glutton for punishment.Īfter the fun and interesting Case 0 prequel for Dead Rising 2, this is a letdown. You'll have to play through each of the 4 different paths for this achievement, I've linked in some videos below which will breakdown which puzzles can be found on each path so you can keep track of what you've done and what you need to do! The System Override mini-games are very easy once you've got the hang of it, your first playthrough will be the hardest because you'll be unlocking equipment as you play but if you decide to playthrough again and go for this achievement you'll keep all the equipment you've unlocked (you unlock it by just progressing through the story). So why spend the $5? Because the suit you unlock looks great, and it's free if you pre-order. In one, you need to place mirrors and splitters to bounce light to the proper place, in another you have to guide a Tron-style light-beam to the end of an obstacle court-because this is what "hacking" looks like-and in the third you release different units that move across a grid to reach the goal while being attacked by electronic counter-measures. These two act like it's just one more thing to deal with on a Monday.īut these are simply the story sections the actual game part of the experience consists of three different minigames. sigh.Ī note about the characters: when confronted by what seems to be the shambling undead, most people would be slightly shocked. The voice acting doesn't make up for it, as everyone seems to be performing a play in high school. They look like quick sketches someone made to tell the real artist how these scenes should look, and then the developers decided not to hire anyone to clean them up. The story is told using very rough, very ugly still images that move by sliding around the screen or by subtle morphing effects. Here's the thing, though: it's really not worth it. Igntition takes place before Dead Space 2, and you can unlock items for your Dead Space 2 playthrough by completing Ignition. Dead Space Ignition is $5 on the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, or you can get it for free if you pre-order your copy of Dead Space 2.
